Motorola MOTOACTV 16GB Golf Edition GPS Sports Watch and MP3 Player - Retail Packaging (Electronics) Customer review from the Vine? Program (What's this?) Motorola MOTOACTV 16GB Golf Edition GPS Sports Watch and MP3 Player is a very good GPS sports watch for Golf and other sports like running, walking, cycling, and many other activities. This GPS sport watch has a lot of cool features such as tracking your pace, distance and calories burned. This Motorola MOTOACTV has mp3 player feature to play music and also support bluetooth connection (which is a big plus to me as I don't like to use wired headphones when I'm running/working out). And with MOTOACTV phone app, you can receive phone calls and texts with this the watch so you can leave your phone in your pocket or bag. When playing golf you can check your distance to the green and keep track of your scorecards and strokes you take. I haven't try to link/upload data to MOTOACTV.com where you should be able to visualize and study your rounds. For running, it can map/show your route albeit basic map (still cool though). What I love the most of this Motorola MOTOACTV GPS watch is that overall it is very simple and intuitive to operate. There are 3 major things that can easily be improved to make this GPS watch a true winner (maybe in the next version). First it's the GPS lock time. It takes a long time to lock the GPS satellite (like 3.5 minutes, and it will take longer if you are not stationary). I usually do some stretching while waiting for the GPS satellite to lock. Second, the LCD can be bigger, or the watch can be smaller (i.e. either remove the frame and make the watch smaller, or expand the LCD to cover the entire watch face like the ipod nano). Third, battery life, it can use some extra juice for longer exercise, especially if you aren't starting with 100% battery level (it eats up battery during stand by as well as I have to remind myself that this is not a regular watch and that the LCD and GPS function uses a lot of power). Changing the setting to marathon mode helps improve battery life during exercise (data updates every 3 sec instead of 1 sec), and reducing screen brightness also helps. One more thing that makes me wonder if this watch is made for professional athletes (vs amateur like me) is when I use the fitness test mode (run without stopping for 8 minutes) and I managed to cover right under 1 mile (close to 8 minute mile), and it tells me that my fitness level is Poor. To be fair, I did the fitness level test right after running 4 mile so I probably would have run faster. Nonetheless, I thought 8 minute mile is still a decent pace/fitness level, but maybe it is indeed poor for professional standard. :)Pros:1. Bright and sharp LCD screen2. Basic Map included for running/walking3. Lots of features and simple to operate4. Multisport capability (Golf, Running, Cycling, Walking, etc)5. Track pace, distance and calories burned (heart rate require heartrate monitor chest strap)6. MP3 player with bluetooth capability (also have WiFi capability)7. Receive phone calls and texts without reaching your phone8. Solid build (scratch and weather proof)9. Lots of space to store a lot of music10. Able to be customized for many other sports/exercise modeCons:1. Takes some time to lock in GPS satellite at the beginning of the exercise2. Battery life can be improved (set to marathon mode, 3 sec update will help some)3. LCD size can be bigger (LCD should cover the entire watch face)4. A bit bulky (but then again there's a lot of features on this watch)5. Golf Course map not directly available on the watch while playing Golf (probably too much too ask), however it's available through MOTOACTV.com6. Try to use bluetooth headset to avoid potential headphone jack durability issue that a lot of people have mentioned (I always use a bluetooth headset and it doesn't have to be motorola brand bluetooth headset)Sidarta Tanu

KSicsFaces ) Should cheesy be spelled with a capital "C"?In this case,by all means use ALL caps when describing the construction and appearance of these "oxfords". Jolenes everywhere should protest the use their name. Eighty bucks for a pair of plastic patent "leather" shoes that does a disservice to "Full Cleveland". I would not want to step on a pebble while wearing these things--ouch! Ticky-tack they go back. Published 2 months ago by msnpx20yrs ?
